Our Global Client builds and implements enterprise banking software and is looking to hire a Director of Product Management who will lead the Product Management department. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, The Director will work with the CTO to establish the strategic direction for product offerings and to implement tactical approaches to achieve the strategy. PAYMENTS EXPERIENCE IS A MUST 

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage the Product Management department. Work with product managers to maximize their effectiveness and prioritize their commitments. Coordinate the product manager’ s involvement in the sales process, and manage product enhancements proposed in bids.
  • Coordinate, through regular meetings, with marketing and sales to receive input on product strategy, and to communicate product strategy decisions.
  • Communicate product strategy to current and prospective customers.
  • Responsible for the specification documents related to the functionality of  products, this includes the content of the documents and the processes for creating and maintaining the documents. 
  • As leader and role model, promote The Company' s  values, supporting and mentoring the Product Management team to continually improve and develop in line with them.
  • Foster strong cross-departmental working relationships with Senior Management team to meet company goals and objectives.
  • Participate in industry associations in order to stay up to date with and to influence industry initiatives.
  • Represent The Company at industry conferences.
  • Promote and reinforce strength of Company  brand in the external market.
  • Expertise in developing and executing strategic product plans, and driving results.
  • Proven capability in leading teams to achieve goals.
  • Proven ability to partner and interact with other senior-level functional leaders to achieve results.
  • Ability to manage conflicting requirements and priorities across business segments and establish agreement on priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Skilled in setting challenging, measurable goals and objectives and being held accountable against them.
  • Motivated, energetic and hands-on orientation.
  • Prepared for the demands of a fast growing business.
  • Agility and capability to work accurately under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong and positive attitude and proactive thinker
  • Qualifications
  • 10+ years of software product and services business experience.
  • Payments industry experience IS A MUST  related to wholesale or ACH payments.
  • 5 - 10 years of management/leadership experience.
  • BS/MS Degree.
  • Track record in leading and supporting marketing and sales.
  • Consulting experience is beneficial, but not required.
Travel Requirements
Ability to travel up to one third of the time – domestic and international.

Dan McNichol comes to Adams Consulting Group with more than 22 years in the banking and software industries. Dan also has over 15 years in the recruiting industry, in which includes a previous association with Len Adams at KPA Group. As a banker Dan started his career with Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co. as a management trainee in the International Funds Transfer Division. He eventually moved on to two regional banks where he ran various international operations groups including Letter of Credit, Collections, FX and Funds Transfer. During his tenure with National Community Bank (n/k/a Bank of New York), Dan was part of team that assisted in the trade services group migration from a manual to an automated environment. The opportunity to expand his technical skills provided an ensuing opportunity to move to the vendor side of trade services. As a recruiter, Dan has been involved with searches on behalf of financial organizations from small retail neighborhood banks to prime foreign and U.S. banks seeking mid- to senior-level managers in disciplines involving compliance, international, retail, credit, lending and operations.
