Financial Analyst needed for expanding community bank. Role will report directly to President.  Analyzes financial status by collecting, monitoring, and studying data; recommending actions; analyzes potential profitability of proposed banking products and M&A activities and makes recommendations. Stays abreast of industry conditions and competitor activities.
  • Investment banking education/experience a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills needed
  • Prepare financial modeling for new products,
  • Prepare monthly reports for the BOD, create and review profitability and efficiency reports for the various products, branches, etc. strong excel skills

Financial Analyst Job Duties:
  • Determines cost of operations by establishing standard costs; collecting operational data.
  • Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
  • Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to Senior Management.
  • Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data.
  • Creates financial models using spreadsheets.
  • Creates PowerPoint presentations summarizing the results of analyses and ability to present the results to Senior Management.
  • Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
  • Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications; coordinating information requirements.
  • Develops, maintains and distributes ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed.
  • Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.

Financial Analyst Skills and Qualifications:
  • College Degree Required
  • Minimum 2 years in a similar role at a Commercial Bank or an Investment Bank
  • Corporate Finance, M&A, Developing Standards, Quality Management, Problem Solving, Process Improvement, Cost Accounting, Statistical Analysis, Financial Planning and Strategy, Reporting Research Results, Requirements Analysis, Financial Skills
  • Strong Technical Skills i.e. Microsoft Office and PowerPoint
