Job Description

Role can be full time or part time

Job Title: Internal Auditor

Department: Internal Audit

Reports to: Internal Audit Manager 

Duties and Responsibilities

•          Participates with the Vendor in the preparation of Audit Request Letters, Kick-off meetings, Audit Fieldwork, Audit Reports in Draft and Final form and Audit Work-papers

•          Participates in meetings with Management and with Vendor to discuss audit findings

•          Reviews and monitors compliance with the Audit Plan and Audit Schedule to ensure audits are being performed as scheduled and as approved by the Audit Committee

•          Follows-up on the corrective internal audit matrix and tracks resolution of items to completion

•          Monitors the progress of corrective actions implemented in response to audit findings

•          Attends Audit Committee meetings and assists the Internal Audit Manager to prepare the Audit Committee package and the Audit Committee Minutes

•          Participates in any Audit Project as requested by the Audit Committee

•          Supports the Internal Audit Manager with the Internal Audit Quality Assurance Program

•          Supports the Internal Audit Manager to prepare for the Bank Examinations performed by the Regulatory Entities

•          Prepares, monitors and follows-up on Regulatory Tracking Matrices

•          Maintain active communication / interaction with all Areas of the bank

•          Other tasks as assigned

Minimum Requirements 

•          Bachelors degree in business or related field

•          Analytical candidate with six (6) to eight (8) years of auditing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

•          Familiarity with all areas of banking, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills

•          Ability to meet strict deadlines
