Our Global Client builds and implements enterprise banking software, They are currently seeking a  Solutions Consultant who works within the client facing technology team to ensure  the timely, quality delivery of solutions, product enhancements and customizations to  clients. Under the direction of a Solution Architect, you will support and advise clients during the full implementation lifecycle.  This work includes advising and guiding the deployment, configuration, and integration and testing of the Solution in Client test environments.  In addition,  you will have the opportunity to produce high-level design and estimation work for new functionality as assigned. There is frequent liaison across the business, but specifically with business analysts, developers, and release management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Under the guidance of the Solution Architect, advise on technical implementation approach and help to rationalize software architecture choices
  • Working with Solutions Architect to shape solution during definition stage
  • Support   deployment and configuration efforts with clients
  • Provide technical Implementation Support including QA, UAT, and Joint Integration test support
  • Performing some development and analysis of existing code
  • Writes functional tests to our framework
  • Provides production support and can resolve issues when required
  • Supporting Solutions Architect in pre-sales support and customer presentation

  • The Person
  •  
  • 3 year s + experience in a hands on Java development role;   can analyse existing Java code
  • Project/implementation life-cycle experience covering: -
    - design, configuration, coding, testing, implementation and documentation
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • 1+ years Oracle or other RDBMS experience
  • 1+ years experience in a client facing/implementation role
  • Experience with payments or banking advantageous
  • Works to deadlines and can escalate issues effectively
  • Excellent communication, written and team skills.
  • Enthusiastic and self motivated, with the ability to work alone.
  • Adaptable to working with different clients and cultures in locations across the UK, US and Continental Europe
  • BSc or MSc educated

Dan McNichol comes to Adams Consulting Group with more than 22 years in the banking and software industries. Dan also has over 15 years in the recruiting industry, in which includes a previous association with Len Adams at KPA Group. As a banker Dan started his career with Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co. as a management trainee in the International Funds Transfer Division. He eventually moved on to two regional banks where he ran various international operations groups including Letter of Credit, Collections, FX and Funds Transfer. During his tenure with National Community Bank (n/k/a Bank of New York), Dan was part of team that assisted in the trade services group migration from a manual to an automated environment. The opportunity to expand his technical skills provided an ensuing opportunity to move to the vendor side of trade services. As a recruiter, Dan has been involved with searches on behalf of financial organizations from small retail neighborhood banks to prime foreign and U.S. banks seeking mid- to senior-level managers in disciplines involving compliance, international, retail, credit, lending and operations.
