VP AML Strategy and Governance Officer

(Expanding bank located in Manhattan)

Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

Fulsome understanding of Correspondent Banking Products and Services and Global
Banking along with the inherent risk therein
- Experience in coordinating audit and examination events and representing Senior
- Able to oversee annual and targeted risk assessment projects and serve as a liaison to lines of business and operational departments on behalf of the BSA Department
- Expert knowledge of BSA/AML laws and regulations
- Ability to create and implement tactical, short, and long-term strategies for BSA Operations and Regulatory Compliance
- Excellent verbal and presentation skills to represent the BSA Officer both internally and externally
- Ability to analyze data and metrics for planning activities
- Able to manage and coordinate multiple tasks and initiatives simultaneously while
maintaining the vision and strategy of the BSA Officer
- Coordinates and records all BSA Department Committees and decision making efforts to support program enhancements and risk events response
- Prepares presentations for review by Senior and Executive Management for, including but not limited, adverse action, new products and services, high risk client, etc. - Creates and provides robust action plans and responses. - Knowledge of global payment transactions and transfers
- Experience in managing end-to-end data analysis and coverage assessments
- Expert knowledge of AML/OFAC monitoring and screening systems
- Experience in managing a Data governance and stewardship programs

Ability to lead and manage technology related projects and maintaining comprehensive documentation and record keeping
- Create periodic reports and metrics pertaining to BAU supporting both internal and
external compliance functions
- Ensures ongoing functionality of all systems within the compliance department to support BAU activities and reduces impact to production through the monitoring of KRIs/KPIs as they relate to technology and systems
- Responsible for data mapping including Key Data Elements (KDEs) and data workflows from an input (transactions systems), process (screening and scenario logic), output (end user view and function) perspective
- Serves as a Senior Staff member supporting the BSA Officer, - Other duties as assigned
