Senior Vice President / Chief Financial Officer Reports to President / Chief Executive Officer

Responsible to the CEO for all short/long-range financial activities of the Financial institution.

Establish financial objectives, policies, programs, and practices which insure the Financial institution of a continuously sound financial structure.

As CFO, controls the flow of cash through the organization and maintains the integrity of funds, securities and other instruments.

Provides direct assistance to the CEO and Board of Directors in all financial decisions.

Coordinate the budget preparation process which involves interacting with various department heads/management personnel. Responsible for preparation of financial statements including supervision of all audits performed by the public accounting firm and the State Banking Department.

Responsibilities: Establish short and long range financial objectives of the Financial Institution and determine sound financial policies and practices.

Invest the Financial institution' s funds as required in conjunction with investment policy established by the Board of Directors.

Provide advice on financial matters to the CEO as necessary, and assist the CEO in the formulation of overall corporate objectives.

  Review, define and clarify financial statements and management reports of the Financial institution.

Supervise and coordinate the preparation of reports to government agencies.

Establish and review tax policies and procedures of the Financial institution.

  Coordinate annual examinations performed by New York State Banking Department and outside auditors.

College degree plus six (6) years experience in public or private accounting. Financial institution (Retail bak, thrift, Credit Union, Etc)   experience is mandatory. CPA or Masters Degree is desirable. Thorough understanding of GAAP and Regulatory Accounting Principle. Proficiency in Microsoft for Windows Applications.
