Risk Management Administrator - Responsibilities
Assist in the administration all the Property and Casualty insurance programs for a company that owns and manages a real estate portfolio of over 100 properties nationally. Company maintains a direct program for the majority of its commercial properties. Other property types are largely insured under third-party management company programs. Responsibilities include the following:
-Maintaining and updating property schedules.
-Providing accurate and timely information to brokers.
-Allocating and billing premiums by property and follow up with mortgage lenders and management companies to release money from the insurance escrow accounts to pay for the premiums.
-Maintaining files of all policies, insurance certificates and relevant correspondence.
-Monitoring renewals and claims of properties insured by third party management companies.
-Oversight of all ancillary policies including NFIP coverage, worker compensation, EPLI, cyber, crime et al.
- Claims Processing: Notifying insurers of new claims and working with adjusters and/or attorneys to gather information for our defense. Processing property claims against negligent third parties who cause damage to Company’ s property.
-Working with Company’ s construction and development team to prepare bids for on-going construction projects.
-Maintaining records of Company’ s owned and leased vehicles. Processing claims, issuing auto ID cards and proof of insurance.
-Interfacing with accounting department on compliance of audits on Company insurance policies such as workers compensation, builder’ s risk and construction liability.
Strong knowledge of Property, Liability, Umbrella, NFIP, Workers Compensation, Business Auto, Employment Practices Liability and Directors and Officers policies is required.
Knowledge of Builders Risk, OCIP' s, and other construction related policies is a plus.
Knowledge of Word and Excel is a requirement.
