OVERVIEW
Assist with managing the Trade Finance back office operations.

Advise and guide Banking units on matters of Letter of Credits; providing opinions or positions enabling them to make informed decision(s).
Act as a back-up for Treasury & Loans back office.

Key Responsibilities 
  • Working in strict compliance with International Standard Banking Practice, UCP600, ISP98, and internal policies you will oversee preparation, review, and release of trade finance related documentation and Swift messaging.
  • You will apply your comprehensive knowledge and understanding of International Chamber of Commerce Rules and Regulations for Documentary Letters of Credit, Standby Letters of Credit, Documentary Bills for Collection, and Uniform Rules for Reimbursement as well as your experience in preparing and checking Letters of Credit documents to deliver a high quality service on a daily basis while navigating tight timeframes.
  • Receive and review all swift messages related to Trade Finance.
  • Input or authorize transactions in the EXIMBILLS system.
  • Check documents related to Letter of Credit transactions.
  • Ensures that all payments and receipts of funds related to Trade Finance transactions are properly paid and received.
  • Verify payments for Trade Finance transactions.
  • Communicate with customers on matters related to Trade Finance transactions.
  • Maintain files for all Trade Finance operations related transactions.
  • Send proper SWIFT messages to counterparts and beneficiaries.
  • Confirm all transactions with counterparts via SWIFT, mail, fax or e-mail where needed or applicable.
  • Input, verify or authorize manual Swift messages.
  • Assist in the implementation and testing of systems.
Secondary Responsibilities 
  • Act as a back-up to the Treasury & Loans Back Office.
  • Verify payments for Treasury and Loans.
  • Input Loan Commitments and Loans.
  • Verify loan information to the proper source.
  • Confirm loan transactions where applicable.
  • Ensure that loan payments are made and funds received on maturity date.
  • Work closely with the Loan and Credit departments.

Experience:
2– 3 years’ experience in Trade Finance Operations and handling Letters of Credit with emphasis on Standby  Letters of Credit.

                        Proficiency skills in Mandarin Chinese and

                         English required.          

Qualifications: Bachelor' s degree in Business or Finance or equivalent experience
