This position works closely with the banks Head Office HR team to oversee the banks training program, from initial planning through final execution
The position will include contacting major universities and financial firms to assist bank in creating executive training programs and tailored courses that are suited for Banks NY Academy trainees. Working with the Head Office HR division to ensure that all programs/courses match bank HO’s strategic plan prior to course implementation.
  • Liaise with Head Office in choosing courses from universities, e.g., Columbia University and Harvard.
  • Communicate with universities to design courses/training for HO employees.
  • Review courses provided by Universities and implementation once HO approves them
  • Coordinate logistics for all training programs, and that needs are met.
  • Work with travel companies to make flight, transportation and hotel arrangements.
  • Conduct research and collect material on all programs.
  • Prepare reports for HO regarding the various courses selected.
  • Maintain training schedules and ensure schedules are up-to-date.
Responsible for entire process of training from arranging courses to accompanying groups of employees participating in training.  Travel would be required, including periods of 20-25 days if the training program is offered outside of NY. For training offered in the NY area, attendance at the training site is required from the early morning through the end of the program day. Some weekend work is also required. This is a non-exempt position and therefore overtime will be paid.

Ideal candidate should have:
  • BA or higher in Business, Leadership, Development or a specialty in Training;
  • Prior experience (at least 4 years) within the Learning, Development or Training fields;
  • Experience in Planning and Research;
  • Strong bilingual Mandarin proficiency;
  • Strong Excel and Word;
